Closing off a wonderful term of various pieces of media we watched two different things which were Kim's Convenience and Columbus. Both films are slightly similar in that they both feature themes of family, but both are unique in their own regard. Columbus was a film that I wasn't really looking forward to but I ended up enjoying it a lot. One of things I wonder about this film as the process of selecting a location. The architecture in this movie I felt were the true stars of the film. The usage of the buildings as a backdrop was fit for the certain scene. An example is how they might use windows or glass and how they interfere with dialog. I wonder what this film would have been like if located in a different city. One thing discussed in class that I feel is important was the accessibility of this movie. I feel like this movie isn't something that can be appreciated by everyone.
